08 Onboarding and mass connection¶
Partner onboarding (EDI onboarding) refers to the process by which a new partner is connected to a company’s electronic data interchange (EDI) systems, so that data exchange becomes automated and standardised. It is a technical and procedural process that ensures the partner can send and receive documents (e.g. orders, delivery notes, invoices) digitally and in the correct format.
The onboarding process begins with informing the partner, and the information letter is the first formal step in this process.
